Operators may calculate each tract or allocation differently. Confirm the unit designation, lease, title ownership, and any amendments before treating this as the payable decimal.

What the decimal means

The royalty decimal is your share of revenue from production allocated to a well or unit before taxes and permitted deductions. A decimal of 0.00625000 equals 0.625% of that revenue.

The three inputs come from different records: net mineral acres from the chain of title, unit acres from the recorded unit or state plat, and the royalty rate from the operative lease or royalty instrument.
